Surreal: The Death of Evil Personified

I can’t tell you the feeling that washed over my body when I heard the first murmurs that the U.S. had caught, and killed, Osama Bin Laden. It was the sort of unbelievable, surreal gut check that I felt when I first learned that a plane had struck the first tower. I honestly believed I would never hear those words. And now, I sit here listening to President Obama announcing to the world that we got him, and tears are streaming down my face.

We lost so many people on that fateful day of September 11, 2001 at the hands of Osama Bin Laden and his spineless followers. And we’ve lost so many brave men and women in the years since who have put their lives in the line of fire to protect our country and see that attacks such as those never happen again on our shores. While nothing can give us those precious souls back, let’s hope this can provide some closure. To know that this embodiment of evil no longer walks the Earth. Justice has been done.

We will never forget.

I agree it was really surreal! I hope that it somehow helps the men and women who have been fighting for our country and freedom feel a great sense of accomplisment and peace! USA USA
