Visionary Lost

The world has truly lost a visionary tonight. Steve Jobs has passed at the age of just 56 years old.  I don’t know that there are words sufficient enough to describe how this man forever changed the world. He did not just think outside of the box, he built a whole new box, and never stopped rethinking and retooling what he had created.

As I sit here plugging away on my MacBook, with my iPhone plugged in and charging and iPod playing music that was purchased via iTunes, downloaded with the help of the Airport providing WiFi to my apartment, with my iMac on the desk next to me, it is crazy to realize just how imbedded the Apple brand, and thus, Steve Jobs, has become in my life.

Steve Jobs radically changed the way we consume, interpret and create information and art.  He did it in a way that was beautifully poetic, and one that would impact the entire world for the rest of time. He was a creator, an artist, an inventor, a dreamer. Yes, the world has, indeed, lost a visionary tonight. One we will not soon forget.

And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary.
